Summary
As a Traffic Control Manager at Pessoa Construction Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on construction sites. This position is essential for maintaining safety standards and supporting our mission of delivering excellence in every project.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow on construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers.
- Monitor site conditions to anticipate potential hazards and implement safety measures.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams to coordinate activities and minimize disruptions.
- Assist in the training of new traffic control personnel on safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Report any incidents or unsafe conditions to site management promptly.
- Collaborate with local authorities as needed to facilitate smooth traffic operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in traffic control or related roles within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic management practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and the public.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing site operations efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high safety standards.
- Familiarity with construction site operations is preferred but not required.
- Traffic Control Manager Certification or flagging certification is a plus.
