Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of avionics systems in various aircraft. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Avionics Technician will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all avionics equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Duties
- Assemble and install avionics components in accordance with technical specifications.
- Utilize tools such as calipers, ohmmeters, and power tools for precise measurements and assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot and repair avionics systems effectively.
- Maintain avionics systems by performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams using software like CATIA and AutoCAD for design modifications and improvements.
- Conduct tests on avionics equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with aviation regulations.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on aircraft systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Avionics Technician or similar role in the aviation industry.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with CAD software including CATIA and AutoCAD is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, avionics components, and their applications in aviation.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply troubleshooting techniques effectively.
- Experience working with power tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications or training in avionics technology is a plus.
