Subcontract Administrator (Aerospace / Defense)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Subcontract Administrator to support complex procurement and subcontracting activities across high-visibility aerospace programs. This individual will play a key role in developing statements of work, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring subcontract performance aligns with program requirements.
This opportunity is open to candidates ranging from mid-level to senior-level experience, with strong growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop subcontract specifications, statements of work (SOW), and terms & conditions
- Issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate proposals, and support source selection activities
- Negotiate subcontract terms, modifications, and agreements
- Manage procurement of complex, mission-critical hardware and services
- Monitor subcontractor performance, schedules, and deliverables
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontract-related matters
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams
Required Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or DoD contracting environments
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR regulations
- Background in subcontract administration, procurement, or contract management
- Experience managing vendors and supplier performance
- Familiarity with SOW development and SDRL management
- Ability to work on programs requiring U.S. person status (no sponsorship available)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex programs
- Experience with various contract types (FFP, CPFF, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within teams
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience (flexible for strong candidates)
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Compliance Requirements
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must meet U.S. export control requirements (ITAR). This typically requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $90,000 – $120,200 (Depending on Experience)
