Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Job Overview:
Join our dynamic aviation team as a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician responsible for supervising Aircraft Maintenance Technicians providing the safe, legal and airworthy maintenance needs of our Customer's aircraft. As an integral part of our maintenance department, you will play a crucial role in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various aircraft and components to the highest standards of quality and safety as well as supervising AMTs in performing the same duties. Duties:
- Supervising team of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians setting priorities for work to be performed.
- Ensuring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, aircraft systems, and components are performed in a timely manner.
- Conduct Annual, 100 hour and Progressive inspections on various single and multi-engine aircraft operated by our Flight School Customers.
-Airworthiness Directive compliance using Service Bulletins or other Methods of Compliance.
- Interpret manuals and technical publications to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose and rectify discrepancies efficiently.
- Ensuring parts stock levels are maintained to meet the maintenance flow demands as well as ordering required parts as needed.
- Completing tasks as assigned by DOM.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in aircraft maintenance.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Ability to perform tasks require moving and lifting of heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Impeccable record keeping and logbook entry abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Aircraft maintenance experience on a wide variety of aircraft from GA to jet and turboprop corporate aircraft.
-1+ Year supervising AMTs returning aircraft to service.
-Inspector Authorization (IA).
- Familiarity with use of maintenance software systems such as EBIS, ATP or
Veryon.
- Familiarity with Avionics systems such as Garmin, Honeywell, Aspen, or Rockwell Collins.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday with some weekends.
Work Location:
On-site at the Leesburg Executive Airport with the potential for travel to AOG aircraft.
