Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc., sister company to PlaneSense, Inc., located in Portsmouth, NH is seeking TWO full-time Maintenance Shift Leads.

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
If you are an aircraft maintenance professional with technical expertise. leadership capability, safety awareness, and the ability to coordinate workflow across multiple aircraft and technicians, support the maintenance supervisor and be the go-to person on the hangar floor, this opportunity may be for you!
The Maintenance Shift Lead is responsible for performing maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Night Shift Supervisor and ensuring efficient use of time by technicians to manage a cohesive workflow and achieve maintenance goals. Responsible for compliance by technicians that all company policies and procedures in company manuals are followed in addition to applicable federal regulations and guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Supervise maintenance technicians in the absence or at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or night shift maintenance supervisor.
- Ensures the proper continuity of maintenance and inspection items from current shift to the next shift by completing a pass down log which is maintained in the Maintenance Library.
- Assist technicians with aircraft related concerns affecting their ability to perform assigned tasks.
- Communicates with PlaneSense maintenance control to determine daily priorities and work progress.
- Coordinates the maintenance functions to insure efficient and effective use of equipment, materials, and personnel.
- Ensures adequate flow of supplies and materials to assigned employees while anticipating and requisitioning needed materials.
- Ensures all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Ensures availability of proper instructions and technical data for each job.
- Ensure housing, facilities, equipment, tools, and materials are maintained.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
- Ability to coordinate workflow across multiple aircraft and technicians
- Ability to mentor and support technicians
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing.
- Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
Education and/or Experience:
- FAA A&P License
- Minimum of 4 years aircraft maintenance work experience
- Previous Lead, or acting leadership experience preferred
Computer Skills:
- Must possess a willingness to learn aviation and aircraft specific software.

Atlas Aircraft Center, Inc. (AAC) is a Pilatus authorized fleet service and support center for the PlaneSense® fractional fleet. As an FAA certified Part 145 repair station, we specialize in Pilatus PC-12 turboprop aircraft and Pilatus PC-24 twin engine jet aircraft support, including turbine aircraft repairs, annual inspections, phase inspections, hourly inspections, modifications, and Service Bulletin compliance, as well as Avionics repairs and sales.
Atlas Aircraft Center is part of the PlaneSense, Inc. headquarters in Portsmouth, NH. Our state-of-the-art, 40,000 square foot hangar is equipped with slab heating, high-tech lighting, and Megadoors. These special fabric doors provide superior insulation capabilities to protect staff from inclement weather while also shielding customers’ aircraft from the elements. The very high ceilings and door openings accommodate all types of aircraft. An additional 44,000 square feet is dedicated to shop space and corporate offices.
Our Nevada maintenance facility is located in Boulder City, NV and features 36,000 square feet of air-conditioned hangar space. This Atlas Aircraft Center facility provides valuable support for the PlaneSense® fleet, mainly serving fractional share clients in the Western part of the U.S.
