Base Leg Maintenance is seeking certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics with working general aviation experience for full time employment in our Peachtree City, Falcon Field OR Newnan, Coweta County Airport location. Currently hiring for multiple shifts including evenings and weekends.
Base Leg is a full service General Aviation Maintenance Shop. We do Inspections, parts repair and replacement, avionics, interiors and more. We primarily work on owner operated type aircraft being used for flight clubs and 135 charter operations.

Job Summary:
- The Aircraft Mechanic will maintain, repair, and inspect aircraft to ensure safe operations within guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Keep accurate records of parts used and all work performed on assigned aircraft.
- Maintain adequate number and quality of tools necessary to perform assigned tasks.
- Understand and follow procedures out of the aircraft manufacturer’s maintenance manuals.
- Instruct and supervise trainees.
- Communicate with customers regarding aircraft issues/inoperative items and provide themwith periodic updates about completion status.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager ofMaintenance or higher authority.
Qualifications:
- Must have current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
- Must have experience with General Aviation aircraft or engines.
- Must have active, valid Driver’s License.
- Must own and provide a minimum set of tools.
- Must be able to work full time (40 hrs a week).
- Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions andmoderate noise levels (hangar).
- Must be able to exercise good judgement in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.
- Must have problem solving and organizational skills.
- Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
- Must be able to lift and move items of 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Ability to bend and/or squat repeatedly and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
