We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Transportation Manager to oversee all aspects of our transportation operations.
Qualifications
Four-year degree in management and/or administration related field.
Six years of upper level managerial and leadership experience in transportation management may be substituted for degree.
Minimum of four years of experience in a upper-level managerial position directing and supervising transportation services
Minimum of four years of experience managing a large fleet of vehicles
Minimum of two years of experience working with the Developmentally Disabled or in a school setting.
Must possess a valid Florida state Driver's License
Must be at least 21 years of age and maintain eligibility for Agency auto insurance
Must not have been charged with a felony within the past ten years
Must pass a drug screening
Position Summary
Responsible for management and Leadership of a large and complex transportation department that includes a large fleet of vehicles, multiple and continuous transportation services, a vulnerable population, and significant regulatory oversight. Position requires coordination with outside State agencies and organization wide programs and services. Ideal individual must have the ability to read, interpret, develop, and implement policy and regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of grant process and management required.
Duties
Reviews, understands, and implements any licensing and regulatory requirements.
Able to develop, write, update, and implement transportation related policies.
Ensures an accurate and complete record for every vehicle within the organization.
Ensure the proper and safe parking and storage of all vehicles.
Coordinates the use of all agency vehicles.
Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of all agency vehicles.
Serves as primary trainer of all staff that is remitted to drive.
Responsible for ensuring systems and process protect the health and safety of all consumers, drivers, and the general public.
Manages all process related to the maintenance and upkeep of all vehicles.
Ensures that any individual authorized to drive any organization vehicle have an active and unencumbered State driver’s license
Ensures that any individual authorized to drive an organization vehicle has received any required driver’s training and/or orientation
Performs Transportation Department Orientation and all related training to include, but not limited to, Consumer transport, personal safety, vehicle operations, incident / accident reporting, vehicle safety, damage inspections, licensing, disabled parking permits, fueling of vehicles, preventive maintenance, corrections and services.
Ensures vehicle maintenance and inspections are completed and documented as required.
Ensures prompt reporting of all vehicle maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Department
Coordinates the evacuation of Consumers in the event of an emergency
Designates and schedules back-up staff necessary to perform the duties of Transportation Manager in the event of any absence
Accurately maintain all vehicle logs and related forms or documentation
Participate in all relevant meetings and in-services as requested
Serves as the primary liaison with all State agencies in any matters related to transportation.
Ensures timely and accurate completion documentation related to Federal, State, County, and/or City requirements
Ensures timely and accurate completion of Department of transportation required records.
Ensures compliance with any grant related documentation or records.
Regularly monitors legislation and regulatory sites for relevant information.
Maintains all transportation related documentation in a manner that is accessible and permits a seamless inspection process.
Ensures timely and accurate documentation
Oversees and coordinates all required transportation-related audits, inspections, reviews, and compliance evaluations, including Triennial and Biennial inspections, ensuring timely corrective action and documentation when required
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
