Job Description
Experienced aircraft electrician or avionics modification technicians with commensurate experience, KC-135 experience is preferred. This position will serve as one of six Contract Field Team members working at Rickenbacker ANGB, OH. Activities include the installation of modification packages on KC-135 aircraft.
Depending on individual core electrical and or avionics skills and experience, technicians will initially be utilized for on aircraft avionics and electrical wire harness routing, installation, and clamping in accordance with appropriate federal aviation regulations, manufacturer's recommendations, technical manuals, and or Government or industry standards.
Technicians will operate Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE). Technicians may also be assigned other duties that supports the aircraft modification effort.
Experience and Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years on-the-job aircraft experience in any electrical or avionics aircraft related discipline is required. Formal electrical or avionics training from a technical trade or military technical school is also required. A Federal Communication Commission (FCC) License or an Airframe License issued by the FAA with commensurate General or Military Aviation experience is desired.
Technicians must possess the ability and commensurate experience to read and comprehend avionics and mechanical drawings, specifications, and schematics. A vast and thorough understanding and demonstration of electronics and electrical aptitude, and the use of tools and test equipment is required.
Technicians must also have familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) and AS9100 methods, principles, inspections, auditing, and certification. Borsight’s QA program of aircraft modification. Technicians will be required to use specialized equipment, tools, and equipment in accordance with appropriate USAF Technician Orders and Job Guides.
Technicians must have the physical ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, be on your feet for extended periods of time, work in cramped spaces, work on top of aircraft, and lift and/or carry items weighing more than 50 pounds.
Job Requirements
Performs as a Contract Field Team (CFT) member
Follows daily operational direction from the CFT Lead
Performs and trains other technicians on advanced electrical or avionics maintenance, modification, and operational check functions
Performs documentation of maintenance, modification, and repair activities
Possesses advance aerospace electrical and avionics experience, including the ability to perform and conduct routine inspections, special inspections, and troubleshooting; as well as inspect the same tasks of other technicians as required by regulations
Inspects completed work of other technicians to certify that maintenance actions meet standards, and that aircraft are ready for operation
Demonstrates and proves ability to install aircraft avionic, electrical, or communication systems, sensors, and antennas
Laser-focus on cost-effective and economical repair and support for all aircraft electrical and avionics system repairs and modifications

Work Schedule
· Monday-Friday
· 7 AM - 3:30 PM
· 30-minute unpaid lunch
· 8-hour day shift
· No alternate shift work
· No weekend shift work
· Overtime is very unlikely
Conditions of Employment
· Must be a US Citizen
· Must reside locally, and commute daily to Rickenbacker ANGB, OH
· Willing to submit to a preemployment background check
· Must obtain and possess a U.S. Government secret security clearance
· Willing to submit to initial/reoccurring urinalysis screening
· CONUS travel may be required
Hourly Pay Range
· $30-$35 per hour
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
