CAD Services Associate Designer
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CAD Services Associate Designer to design and optimize mission-critical environments, such as 9-1-1 dispatch centers, emergency operations centers, control rooms, air traffic control, and security monitoring stations.
This position requires expertise in creative space planning, furniture layout, ADA guidelines, and workflow optimization to support high-performance teams in mission-critical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop space plans for mission-critical facilities, ensuring optimal furniture layouts that maximize functionality, comfort, and efficiency.
Apply human factors and ergonomic principles to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment, ensuring designs adhere to ADA, building codes, and other industry-specific standards.
Optimize sightlines, equipment access, and user interactions for 24/7 operations.
Plan for the accommodation of monitors, computer systems, cabling, and other technology components within console furniture designs.
Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using CAD & Configura CET software.
Present design concepts and recommendations to sales and clients, incorporating feedback into final designs.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in space planning, furniture design, or interior architecture, ideally for mission-critical environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CET, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design software.
Knowledge of ergonomic design principles and mission-critical workspace requirements.
Familiarity with commercial furniture systems and customization options.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
