Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our aerospace maintenance team. This role involves performing comprehensive inspections, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft to ensure safety, compliance, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with aviation standards, and proficiency with various tools and technical schematics. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance on aircraft, including airframe, avionics, engines, and power systems.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues using schematics, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Perform repairs and fabrication tasks utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities and parts usage.
- Inspect aircraft components for wear or damage in accordance with FAA regulations (Federal Aviation Regulations) and AS9100 standards.
- Perform assembly or disassembly of aircraft parts using sheet metal fabrication skills and equipment repair techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy lifting operations and when working with heavy equipment or in confined spaces.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance procedures performed and parts used for regulatory audits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing root causes of recurring issues and implementing corrective actions.
Skills
- Extensive experience with aircraft maintenance procedures, including airframe, avionics, and power systems.
- Electrical experience including soldering, wiring diagrams, schematics reading, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to aviation components; familiarity with sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM), calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Experience working within aviation industry standards such as AS9100; understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including heavy-duty welding), soldering irons, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking; ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Background in military aviation or vehicle maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform root cause analysis for complex issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety compliance; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
