Job Overview
Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced Aircraft Painters, Paint Preppers, and Polishers/Buffers to support aircraft finishing operations in Torrance, California. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive hourly pay and a fast hiring process.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in aircraft painting, automotive paint prep, or industrial finishing environments.
All aircraft platforms will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Prepare aircraft and component surfaces including sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings per manufacturer specifications
- Apply coatings using spray equipment such as HVLP spray guns
- Perform surface prep including corrosion removal, filling, and finishing
- Polish and buff painted surfaces to remove defects and achieve final finish
- Identify and correct paint defects such as runs, scratches, orange peel, and contamination
- Perform wet sanding and refinishing as needed
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality and consistency
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Qualifications
- Aircraft Painter: Minimum 3+ years aircraft painting experience – REQUIRED
- Paint Prepper / Polisher:3+ years automotive paint prep OR 2+ years aviation experience – REQUIRED
- Experience with spray equipment, paint systems, or finishing tools
- Strong understanding of surface preparation and paint application techniques
- Ability to identify and correct paint defects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $19.00 – $25.00/hr
- Schedule: Full-Time
