AIP serves the aircraft industry worldwide by supplying quality carpet and fabric to custom design the inside of any aircraft.
Job Purpose
This position is primarily responsible for fabricating aircraft interior carpet kits, assemblies and parts. Daily tasks involve transforming raw materials into finished products using work instructions or engineering drawings and using various tools and power equipment. Textile materials used include wool carpeting, vinyl, natural and synthetic fabrics and other materials certified for aircraft use. The AIP Fabrication team works closely with AIP Sales and Sales Support to meet customer needs in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions may include the following but are not limited to these functions. Other duties may be assigned.
- Material Handling: Receive, store and manage carpet rolls, flooring and other materials.
- Measuring and Cutting: Accurately measure and cut materials following diagrams, floor plans or other specifications.
- Material Edging: Finish material edges using various techniques and sewing equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform and assist in OEM / FAI (First Article Inspections). Follow company QMS and or specific OEM procedures.
- Warehouse Duties: Assist with material loading and unloading, staging installations and preparing materials for shipping.
Qualifications, Requirements, & Experience
- Basic knowledge and experience with 3-axis CNC equipment , industrial sewing machines, hand tools, including measuring. CNC equipment experience highly recommended.
- Previous aircraft, marine or auto upholstery experience is required.
- 1–3 years of experience in upholstery and fabrication is required.
- Technical trade diploma, OEM trade or training certificates are a plus.

Education & Recommendations
- High school education or equivalent.
- Must understand and utilize standardized operations process.
- Aircraft industry experience is helpful.
- Knowledge of technology and understanding functions.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
