Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft, including airframe, powerplant, avionics, and electrical systems.
- Conduct detailed inspections using schematics, CAD drawings, and technical manuals to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, calipers, micrometers, soldering irons, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines to execute repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems through root cause analysis to determine effective solutions.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations outlined by Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and AS9100 standards to ensure compliance during maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance actions meticulously in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members on aircraft assembly, equipment repair, sheet metal fabrication, and heavy lifting operations to ensure timely completion of projects.
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
Experience:
- aircraft mechanic: 4 years (Required)
- fighter jet: 1 year (Preferred)
