Position Overview
The Controller is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and supporting strategic partnering with executive leadership to enhance profitability and efficiencies across all companies.

Duties / Responsibilities
- Prepare and present accurate monthly and annual financial statements
- Coordinate tax preparation and reviewed financial statements with external accounting firm
- Provide bank with quarterly financial package and loan convenance calculations
- Develop annual budgets for all departments, providing and monitoring variance analysis throughout the year
- Oversee cash management of the company
- Develop, implement, and enforce financial controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets and ensure efficient financial operations
- Work with executive leadership on analyzing business and economic trends, and developing strategies to strengthen the company
- Provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership regarding capital investments, operational improvements, and long-term financial planning
- Maintain and analyze KPIs for all aspects of the company
- Manages accounting staff schedules, performance, and efficiency
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger, accounts receivables and payables
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help NEA attain corporate goals
Skills / Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present insights clearly
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with accounting and operational software, strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial best practices
- Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial economics, or business administration
- Ten years or more of progressive financial experience, preferably in the service industry
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at times
