Position Overview
MAC Air Group is seeking an experienced Aircraft Parts Manager to lead our busy parts department. The position involves oversight of the procurement, storage, inventory control, and distribution of aircraft components, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and supporting maintenance teams with timely part availability. To include management of vendor relationships, logistics, optimization of inventory levels and supervision of parts staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and manage stockroom operations (receiving, inspecting, and storing).
- Procurement & Sourcing: Source, order, and track aircraft parts and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all parts meet FAA regulations, have proper documentation, and are stored according to safety standards.
- Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate shipping and receiving.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule parts clerk staff.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Several years of related inventory management, logistics, or warehousing. Prior management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge/Skills: Strong understanding of aircraft parts, maintenance procedures, and FAA/industry regulations. Ability to multi-task, and excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb stairs, and work in a warehouse/hangar environment.
Work Environment
- A combination of office and warehouse/hangar settings.
Pay: $61,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
