Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across our Brockton and Wareham service areas. This role is responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient delivery operations, maintaining client relationships, and stepping in as a driver when needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
Responsibilities:
Operations & Team Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations for delivery routes in Brockton and Wareham
- Supervise drivers and staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality meal deliveries
- Monitor route efficiency and implement improvements
Account Management
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong relationships with partners and clients
- Serve as primary point of contact for operational issues or service updates
- Ensure contract compliance and service quality standards
Staffing & Coverage
- Coordinate driver schedules and manage call-outs
- Provide backup driving support when drivers are unavailable
- Ensure all routes are covered daily without service disruption
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable Massachusetts regulations
- Track KPIs, delivery metrics, and operational performance
- Prepare reports for leadership as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of operations, logistics, or delivery management experience (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to problem-solve in fast-paced environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record + use of personal vehicle
- Comfortable driving delivery routes as needed
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry meal delivery items (up to ~30 lbs)
- Ability to drive for extended periods when needed
- Willingness to travel regularly between Brockton and Wareham
