Overview
FORTEK AEROSPACE, LLC is currently seeking a full time Shipping and Receiving Clerk. If you are outgoing, a fast learner and looking for a company where there is a chance for advancement, this is the position for you. The position is in person located in Doral, FL. In this position, the Receiving Clerk will be required to:
Responsibilities
- Review and accept traceability paperwork for parts and materials
· Maintain appropriate levels of supplies. Replenish as needed.
- Review customer documents to ensure paperwork is complete and accurate, open work orders in AviationSuite system
- Examine contents and compare with records, such as invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
- Perform data entry for aircraft parts
- Take pictures of incoming parts, materials and units
- Keep stockroom and extended storage areas organized, marked and accessible for others, including shelving, and pallet racking
- Perform accurate inventory checks and documents, as needed and directed
- Route materials, along with documentation, to the appropriate department/individual
Qualifications
Requirements- Skills/Education & Experience:
- Organizational Skills: Strict attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize as necessary.
- Be able to lift 50lbs
- Able to lift up to 100lbs with help
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize changing assignments
- 1-2 years of experience
- Previous experience with aircraft trace is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of Customs in the USA and Export Controls in US.
- Forklift Certification preferred, but not required
- HazMat Certification preferred, but not required
Specialized knowledge/ abilities:
- Quality experience with aircraft parts and materials.
- Ability to read, write, interpret and articulate verbally and written, aircraft industry trace.
- Proficient in the inspection procedures to accept/reject aircraft parts based on physical appearance and/or trace paperwork.
- The ability to read, comprehend and explain aircraft trace.
