About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Airframe Repair Coordinator to manage repair orders and support the timely movement of aviation components through the repair process. This role works closely with repair vendors, internal departments, and operational teams to maintain inventory flow, reduce repair costs, and support customer commitments.
This is a detail-oriented and fast-paced role requiring strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and knowledge of aviation repair operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage repair orders from initiation through completion
- Communicate with repair vendors regarding open orders, ETAs, discrepancies, and repair updates
- Review and analyze repair quotes to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate vendor pricing, including BER (Beyond Economic Repair) situations
- Allocate available inventory and stock to reduce repair costs where applicable
- Support customer orders tied to open repairs and coordinate drop shipments as needed
- Assist with receiving discrepancies, QC holds, and invoice-related questions
- Maintain repair reports, documentation, and KPI tracking
- Collaborate cross-functionally with repair, logistics, purchasing, sales, and operations teams
- Support inventory movement and turnaround timelines within the repair process
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of aviation MRO experience required
- 3–5 years of customer-facing or vendor management experience preferred
- Familiarity with MRO terminology, IPCs, service bulletins, 8130s, and trace documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask within a fast-paced aviation environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within airlines, MROs, OEMs, or aircraft parts operations
- Experience coordinating repair orders and vendor relationships
- Experience reviewing repair quotes and negotiating pricing
- Experience supporting inventory allocation and repair logistics
- Experience working within high-volume aviation operations
