D&R Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Transportation Operations Manager to oversee daily trucking operations and ensure the efficient movement of freight. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and real-world trucking experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Address and resolve mechanical truck-related issues reported by drivers.
- Coordinate logistics and daily transportation operations.
- Communicate with drivers, dispatch personnel, and customers regarding operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Assist with scheduling maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Respond quickly to unexpected operational and mechanical challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records related to fleet operations, inspections, and performance Qualifications
- Current and valid CDL-A License required.
- Real-world trucking experience with a strong understanding of transportation operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot Mechanical and operational issues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to make adjustments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking industry best practices.
- Leadership experience preferred.
