Supply Chain Manager - East Rutherford, NJ
Tel Instrument Electronics Corp., (“TIC”) based out of East Rutherford, NJ, is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Supply Chain Manager. As Supply Chain Manager this individual will oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the components to the delivery of the final product. You'll ensure the right amount of product is made at the right time, as well as coordinate the storage of the product. TIC is an industry leader in producing sophisticated avionic test sets for demanding military and commercial customers from both domestic and international sectors. Job Description
- Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction and provide for efficient manufacturing utilization through proper utilization of ERP system.
- Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff.
- Review and approve all purchase orders and negotiate best possible pricing.
- Work with management team to develop forecasting, delivery schedules, changes etc.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and proper/timely recording of inventory transactions.
- Ensure that parts are delivered with zero interruption to manufacturing line.
- Lead the supply chain team in executing best practices providing continuous improvement to purchasing policies and procedures.
- Develop, negotiate, and administer purchasing agreements with suppliers.
- Manage vendor relationships based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability.
- Work with Quality Assurance to pro-actively identify and correct non-compliant materials.
- Manage shipping and receiving department and inventory stock room.
Qualifications
- Must be a USA citizen and must be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
- Must have 5+ years of Supply Chain and Purchasing experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain/Logistics or a business-related field.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with Engineers.
- Experience with Purchase Agreements and Legal Conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful planning skills.
- Quality and efficiency focus.
- Hands-on proactive mentality.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of Exact Max Manufacturing System or similar system.
- Purchasing experience for the Electronics/Aviation industry would be a huge plus.
Compensation: $70,000- $85,000 a year
