Line Service Technician

Overview
Apex Aero Center is seeking motivated Line Service Technicians who enjoy working with people, have an interest in aviation, and take pride in paying attention to the details that make a great customer experience.
This position requires individuals who can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication with both team members and customers. Line Service Technicians play an important role in ensuring safe, efficient aircraft operations and delivering exceptional service to pilots and passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist pilots and passengers with luggage, transportation, accommodations, and other requests.
- Provide excellent customer service and create a positive first impression for all airport visitors.
- Safely perform aircraft ground services including marshaling, fueling, towing, GPU operation, wing walking, and lavatory/water services.
- Monitor inbound and outbound aircraft to ensure timely handling and service.
- Communicate clearly with team members to confirm service requests and ensure accuracy.
- Anticipate the needs of customers and provide proactive support when possible.
- Conduct daily inspections of fuel trucks, fuel farms, and ground support equipment.
- Escort customers and vendors on the airport ramp as required for safety compliance.
- Follow all airport, safety, and FBO procedures and policies.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedules and be prepared to work in varying weather conditions.
Additional Duties
- Help maintain the FBO facility including hangar cleaning, minor maintenance, and general upkeep.
- Support customer service when needed by answering phones, processing credit card transactions, arranging rental cars or hotels, and coordinating catering.
- Monitor weather conditions and assist with safety preparations during adverse weather.
- Wash customer vehicles, FBO vehicles, and ground equipment.
- Assist with after-hours support, shared among team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Service Lead or Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- College degree preferred
Experience
- Two years of customer service experience preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn aviation operations
Physical Requirements
The role requires physical activity including:
- Climbing, crawling, stooping, and kneeling while servicing aircraft
- Standing, walking, and occasionally running on the ramp
- Lifting heavy objects and working extended periods when required
- Exposure to noise, fumes, temperature changes, and outdoor conditions
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
