This position is: Full-Time, Sunday through Wednesday, 5:30am - 3:30pm
Position Overview: The Aviation Front Desk Agent with Northeast Air is responsible for the prompt, efficient, professional, and courteous service to our customers, at all times, and will ensure proficiency in meet and greet interactions, fielding and routing phone calls appropriately and politely, e-mail corresponding, handling fax transmissions, text and instant messaging as warranted, and communicating through ground-to-air radio.
As an Aviation Front Desk Agent, you will work in a team environment, working with flight crews and passengers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Approach all encounters with customers, vendors, and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Comply with Northeast Air standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations
- Maintain compliance with Northeast Air standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the business
- Assist customers with scheduling needs and requests for hotel accommodations, courtesy vehicles, and catering
- Invoice aircraft fuel purchases
- Direct guests to amenities offered by Northeast Air
- Balance and prepare individual paperwork for opening and/or closing shifts
- Handle incoming/outgoing calls
- Take and deliver messages
- Operate ground-to-air radio
- Know emergency procedures
- Run daily arrival and departure reports
- Distribute faxes, packages, and mail to customers as needed
- Stock and clean workspace
- Distribute billing reports to appropriate outlets
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help NEA attain corporate goals
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent
- Must reside in Maine and be in commute distance to Portland
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, and physical
- Have valid and active driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English Language
- Customer service experience required
- Customer service experience within a hospitality group, tourism, aviation, or related field
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to evaluate and select alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Solid analytical ability and mathematical aptitude
- Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, and follow through skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills
- Previous FBO experience a plus
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 lbs
- Be willing to work under variable temperatures and noise levels on occasion
