What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness across all accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and adjustments
- Play a key role in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform detailed account reconciliations and proactively investigate variances
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Partner with auditors by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses
- Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Analyze financial data to uncover insights and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, AR, payroll, and operations teams
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation (as applicable)
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (financial reporting, audit, or aviation/aerospace preferred)
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in aviation or MRO industry accounting
- Familiarity with cost accounting and operational efficiency metrics
